Here are the charts for the top 15 of various demoscene-related fields.
In some cases, there were too many ties for the lower rated entries, so
they had to be limited to less than 15.

There were a total of 57 voters. This is a decent start, but we really
encourage more people to vote for the next issue, so the charts can more
accurately reflect the scene. There weren't too many problems this time,
although it was possible for a 1st place vote to push an entry up 2 or 3
positions on a chart (and you thought your vote didn't really count! :).

We were flexible with the voting rules. You could not vote for yourself,
but you could vote for your own group and their productions. Most people
were still unbiased in voting for what they thought was the best, so
no new rules will be imposed for the next issue.

Many people were helpful in suggesting new charts for the next issue.
There were of course the traditional charts, like best musicdisk, swapper,
and party. While we're open to the international scene, swapping is more
or less non-existant in North America, and seeing as we expect most votes
to come from there, a best swappers chart would not draw many votes.
A few people suggested a best country chart. I remember this appearing
in some older mags, especially on the C64. I don't feel it belongs in
modern PC mags, though, because we're not out to make one country feel
superior to another (no, not even the US or Canada :). A best parties
chart is almost the same thing. A Finnish voter will probably vote for
Abduction, Juhla, Assembly, etc., an American voter will probably vote
for NAID, etc. Sadly, a best diskmags chart wouldn't be much use since
there really aren't more than 5 or so consistent mags out there on the PC.
There were many suggestions for more 'fun' charts too, like most elite/lame
sceners, drinks, etc., but we don't want to make this a chartmag, so we
can't have too many categories. :)

Still, there were many good suggestions for new charts. They will appear
in a new 'optional' section of the voteform. Whether you fill those charts
out or not will determine whether they will show up in the next issue.

Meanwhile, we will be saying goodbye to the top songs chart. Frankly,
there are just too many songs out there. To even come up with a top songs
chart, I had to only include songs which were voted for more than once.
Still, we thank everyone who voted for them. jmX talked me into keeping
the North American coders chart, so it will stay.
